Golden
BC
Located in the heart of Canada's famous mountain national parks, Golden
BC is a mountaineering paradise. Today many different
outdoor activities rank Golden BC as the ULTIMATE destination for outdoor adventure recreation.
For golf enthusiasts, the Golden BC and District Golf Course is situated between the Purcell and Rocky Mountains. The Columbia
River meanders around the border of this 18 hole championship golf course. Each hole was built to maximize views, crediting
Golden BC as one of the most scenic courses in B.C. Visitors to this soft spike facility are sure to return again and again.
The course is ranked number 14 in B.C. and Top 35 among Canada's public/semi-private golf courses and Top 65 golf course in
Canada overall (Nr. 20 in B.C.). Facilities include: grass teed driving range, putting green, sand bunker, power cart
rentals, lessons with C.P.G.A. professionals, well stocked pro shop, and licensed clubhouse.
Winter recreation includes downhill, back country and cross country skiing, ice climbing and snowmobiling. Experience
memorable heli-skiing, and ski touring in the Purcell Range. For avid fishermen, ice fishing is available on most of the
rivers and lakes of the area.
To accommodate all our guests' needs, Golden
BC offers a range of unique and attractive businesses, including shops, eating
establishments ranging from fast food to fine dining, pubs, front and back country lodges, guest houses, bed and breakfasts,
hotels and motels.
Last, but not least, Golden BC is also home to the Canadian Rockies' newest alpine escape, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. They
offer (almost) year-round Canada's most elevated fine dining experience at Eagle's Eye restaurant at the top of the
mountain. In summer, Kicking Horse Resort's Golden Eagle Express gondola lifts you up in a panoramic 12 minute ride to more
spectacular sightseeing, hiking and mountain-biking. In winter, the gondola and other ski lifts open the terrain up for
4,133 vertical feet / 1,260 meters of unbelievable powder skiing/boarding, the second highest vertical in Canada.
